Join us for an engaging, hands-on workshop designed for pediatric physical and occupational therapists in Vermont working with children of all ages and across all settings.  This free, in-person training will be offered in two locations, focusing on enhancing your assessment skills to better understand the positioning needs of the children you serve.

In the morning, we will focus on comprehensive assessments for adapted seating.  These evaluations help identify each child’s unique postural needs. Participants will observe and practice assessing body structure to better inform adapted seating recommendations.

In the afternoon, we’ll shift to body shape assessments, introducing tools for measuring symmetry and tracking alignment over time. This session emphasizes early detection and assessment building participants knowledge of common body shape distortions and the risks of long-term complications.

As we strive for the best outcomes for the children we serve, it’s essential that equipment recommendations are based on thorough assessments. This workshop aims to equip you with the necessary skills to enhance your assessment practices, ensuring that each recommendation is well-informed and tailored to meet individual needs.

The workshop includes a blend of brief lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice, giving participants the opportunity to enhance their assessment skills.

Whether you are new to this process or looking to refine your approach, this workshop offers valuable techniques to support thorough and informed equipment recommendations.

This in-person training will be offered at no charge in Waterbury, Vermont. We are also offering this training in Manchester, Vermont.
