I-Team History
The Vermont I-Team developed and piloted their educational support model in the state starting in 1975. The project aided schools in the implementation of the early laws and regulations that supported the education of students with disabilities. Since 1978 Vermont’s Agency of Education has funded the Vermont I-Team, using federal grant funds to support of the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA).
Our Vision
The Vermont I-Team has a vision of an educational system where students with complex learning profiles fully belong in their classroom and school communities, with access to the same educational, social, and personal opportunities as their peers.
Our Mission
The Vermont I-Team works to improve local educational teams’ capacities to implement research-based interventions and current best practices in the field of education through technical assistance, professional development and collaborating with other statewide consultation agencies.
