PROGRAMS & PLANNING

Participation and progress for students with complex learning profiles requires the use of recommended practices and careful planning as part of a quality educational program.

Educational Programs

Educational programs are documented plans for instruction, including settings, activities and services.

Inclusion

Inclusion is providing appropriate support, accommodations, and modifications so students with disabilities can fully participate in all parts of school life, including academics, extracurricular activities, and social experiences.

Person-Centered Planning

erson-centered planning prioritizes the needs, perspectives, and involvement of students and their families in the educational process.

Transition & Employment

Transition services facilitate the student’s move from school to post-school activities.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

UDL is an educational framework of different strategies and options to make learning accessible and effective for all learners.

Writing IEPs

IEPs are a legal record of the individualized parts of a student’s educational program. Tasks related to writing IEPs are collecting student data, identifying and addressing access needs, specifying services, and methods of measuring to see if the plan is working.
