| This session will teach participants how to support students in advocating for themselves. We’ll also look at ways to teach students to take part in person-centered planning. | Session 3: “What’s Happening Next?” AAC to Support Transition for Complex Communicators |
| This session is about helping young people who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) manage transitions in their lives. Transitions, like moving from one stage of life to another, are an important part of growing up and need practice, exploration, and support from others to handle well. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to involve the person going through the transition in the process, get tips for making transition materials and activities more accessible, and practice these skills with real-life examples. Join us to explore and discuss. Offered on all three conference dates. |

| A circle of support is a group of people coming together to help plan and support a person with a disability’s goals. It’s a means of providing practical advice, solving problems and generating creative ideas to contribute positively to the person’s life. Offered at the May conference date only. |

| Session 6: Effective Strategies for Learners with Extensive Support Needs, including Deafblindness |
| Students with extensive support needs, including deafblindness and/or complex medical needs, require structured and personalized education based on routines. This session will explore the impact of deafblindness on learning. Offered at the January conference date only. |
| Session 7: Using High Leverage Concepts & Progressions to Set Math Goals |
| IEP goals are the heart of instruction for students with disabilities. In this session, you’ll learn ways to use the “All Learners Network High Leverage Concepts and Progressions” to write goals to help students learn math. Offered at the January and May conference dates. |
| Session 8: Inclusive Practices for Sensory and Motor Complexity |
| This workshop will explore how to support students with various sensory and motor needs to have more access, and to get more involved and engaged at school. It will emphasize working together as a team and collaborating with different professionals to achieve this goal. Offered at the January conference date only. |
| Session 9: Inclusive Planning in a Standards-Based World |
| Standards help us figure out how to introduce and teach curriculum. In this workshop, we’ll explore ways to help students with complex learning profiles access grade-level material alongside their classmates in a general education setting. Offered at the January conference date only. |
