It established eight Areas of Emphasis that University Centers such as CDCI must focus on. The law was passed in 1975.<\/p>\n<p>The eight federally recognized Areas of Emphasis are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Employment<\/li>\n<li>Education and Early Intervention<\/li>\n<li>Child Care<\/li>\n<li>Health<\/li>\n<li>Housing<\/li>\n<li>Transportation<\/li>\n<li>Recreation<\/li>\n<li>Quality Assurance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There&#8217;s also an &#8220;Other&#8221; category for emerging issues.
