Introduction to Participatory Research Training
Hello, I am Liliane Savard and I want to welcome you to Participatory Research training.
This training was put together by autistic and non-autistic research partners working together. We hope this training is accessible for people with busy lives as well as people with different ways of processing information.
So the goal of this training is to encourage you to get started and do participatory research in autism research.
We designed this training for autistic and non-autistic people. This includes researchers and community members.
You will learn about Community Partnerships in Autism Research (CPAR). In CPAR, autistic people are part of the team doing the research. This is called Participatory Research.
In this type of research, many perspectives are used to understand important problems and to make change.
We hope this training encourages you to get started and do participatory autism research.
