About The CARES Team
CARES increases school teams’ capacity to identify and meet the unique access needs of students who are DHHDB
Working collaboratively with school teams to build capacity, and support access for students ages 3-22 with hearing loss.
Grant funding from the AOE makes it possible for Consultation and TA to be provided at no charge to all public schools in Vermont. Assessments, evaluations and counseling are provided for a fee of $140/hr. The CARES Team serves the entire state of Vermont, with our main office located at the University of Vermont’s Center on Disability and Community Inclusion (CDCI).
Meet Our Staff
Our collaborative team includes a speech language pathologist, a school psychologist, and multiple educational access consultants.
