Chayah Lichtig, MS, OTR/L has practiced pediatric occupational therapy since graduating from Boston University School of Occupational Therapy in 2010. Before joining the CDCI, she served children, their families, and their educators through early intervention and school-based practice, and provided professional development and programming consultation for early childhood educators. Before becoming an occupational therapist, Chayah taught kindergarten and first grade and taught yoga to both children and adults.
She strongly believes in empowering children to achieve their full potential by strengthening the systems and individuals that support them; this includes improving provider skills, reducing barriers to care for parents, and democratizing knowledge for all who will benefit from it.
Chayah was a 2024 recipient of the College of Education and Social Services staff recognition award for the creation of the “Video Learning Series”, now known as the “Continent & Confident” series.
When Chayah isn’t at CDCI, she is usually planning an over-ambitious home improvement project, snuggling with one of her many pets, or singing and performing in theater (sometimes all three at once).
