Nancy L. Castner, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience across pediatrics, school health, and primary care. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Vermont. She completed her doctoral capstone project, focused on improving school nurse adherence to evidence-based screening for functional constipation in school-age children, in collaboration with the Vermont Continence Project.
Nancy currently works in primary care. In January 2026, she will transition into a new role at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Pediatric Urology/Gastroenterology, where she will continue her work focused on improving outcomes for children with complex continence and gastrointestinal conditions.
Nancy holds APRN licensure in Vermont and New Hampshire and is nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of School Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.
