Unit 1: Welcoming Change

Your roadmap to working on toileting with your child, and the key concepts of elimination.

Have you ever heard the expression, “if you always do what you’ve always done you will always get what you always got”? This week is about acknowledging what is — or is not — working in your approach to working on toileting with your child.

We’ll also start talking about elimination health, and your child’s pee and poop habits. You may have lots of knowledge and experience with this issue, or this may be the first time you’ve considered how your child’s elimination health might affect their continence. Please pay lots of attention to this content either way.

We encourage you to move through the series in order. Each video has related resources.

  2. Letting Down the Pressure
  3. Ready, Set, Toilet!: The Readiness Journey
  4. Why Accidents Happen
  5. Taking Initial Bowel Data
